‎from the bar | {watermelon, salt & chilli granita}


With this warm weather, I was looking for something refreshing a something a little different, this recipe from What Katie Ate, is just the thing.

ingredients 
1kg fresh, seedless watermelon 
1tbsp lime juice 
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp chilli flakes

method
add watermelon, lime juice, salt & chilli flakes into a blender until the mixture forms a purée consistency

pass mixture through a sieve, pressing firmly through with the back of a spoon

pour sieved mixture into a wide metal baking tray or freezer-proof dish and freeze for 2-3 hours or until ready to serve

to serve, use a fork to scrap granita into shards & serve in a wide bottomed glass
